MOVE INDIA TO MAKE FIT INDIA

DAV Public School East of Loni Road celebrated ‘Fit India School Week’, an initiative taken up by the CBSE. The objective of this programme is to develop sports quotient among all the students to achieve a healthy life style and enable them to handle day to day physical and emotional challenges. ‘Fitness Week’ was celebrated under the ‘FIT India Movement’ from 18^th Nov.,2019 to 23^rd Nov.,2019.

There were yoga sessions and free hands exercise for the students of class Nursery to 12^th conducted during the morning assembly. Our tiny tots participated in Hurdle Race and JogWalk. Students of Classes VI to VIII sweat out doing Zumba and Aerobics activities. Senior and Senior Secondary students practised various fitness exercises to enhance fitness and endurance. Essay Writing and Poem Composition Activities on the theme ‘Fit India School’ were conducted for the classes VIII to XII. The Week was a great success as it instilled an understanding for regular physical activity and higher level of fitness enhancing self confidence and esteem in students.
